Client Brief

Our clients came to us wanted a luxurious, sleek kitchen in their South Perth penthouse.

Requests:

  • Luxurious kitchen
  • No tiling to splashback
  • Breakfast bar
  • Incorporate her love of skulls
  • Larger island bench

Before

The previous hot water unit room in this South Perth home needed to be reduced in depth to allow for a longer island bench and enough walkway.

We were given the task of hiding an appliance cupboard in the pantry whilst still allowing outside access. We were also required to incorporate skulls within the design whilst maintaining a luxurious feel.

Made for entertaining

The kitchen displays elegant hues with a sleek look that compliments the luxurious penthouse design. The sleek, slimline look of the kitchen is owed to the selection of integrated appliances and the use of Blum servo drive throughout the kitchen.

The layout makes food preparation effortless with all appliances in a user friendly location at close proximity. Central to the layout the kitchen boasts a large island bench. The island bench has copious amounts of bench space for cooking prep and is complete with incorporated breakfast bar. The flooring on the back of the island bench adds a subtle statement against the cabinetry and waterfall returns.

Light and Spacious

Strip lighting in the curved bulkhead accentuates the ceiling feature. The generous amount of lighting in this room opens up the space making it feel spacious and inviting. Underneath the bulkhead the cabinetry has a 20mm shadowline scribe. All cabinetry is finished in 2 pac Dulux vivid gloss white which captures the light reflections, adding to the opulent appearance.

To finish the kitchen design we have custom designed a glass skull splashback; incorporating the clients love of skulls and giving the kitchen a unique feature.

KITCHEN TRANSFORMATION

ABSORBING THE BREATH TAKING VIEWS

In the re-design of this penthouse ensuite we ensured to maintain the luxury of relaxing in the bath whilst taking in the breathtaking city views. Glamorous marbled whites flow through this room creating a fresh, open and opulent space. Porcelain panels create a sleek design with minimal joins and a low maintenance factor.

Being on the penthouse level, plumbing was an important factor to consider in the design and renovation process.

To give the impression that the vanity units were floating we have created a recessed kicker and illuminated the kicker with soft strip lighting.

A new platform was created for the freestanding bath and floor mounted bath mixer spout. The raised level showcases the bath as a prominent, integral design statement within the space. For an added luxury we have added an in-wall cistern toilet and created a wall to wall recess in the shower with strip lighting. Our design has achieved a flush, frameless clear low-E shower screen from floor to ceiling, removing the dated hob.

Everything has been thought of down to the small details. Custom made mirrors; powder coated in Dulux timeless grey match the negative detailing to the cabinetry continuing the curvature in the fittings.
