Our clients sought a contemporary update to their ensuite and main bathroom while preserving their home’s federation style. To maximize light and openness, we elevated the ceilings and installed skylights in both rooms, using a lighter color palette to enhance the sense of space and Roma Bronze tapware that adds a modern touch. In the ensuite, we reconfigured the layout to include a walk-in shower with a built-in Dekton niche and removed the shower screen door for a more open feel. A floor-mounted, shaker-style vanity complements the federation theme and provides ample storage, with mirrored cabinetry recessed into the wall for efficiency. For the main bathroom, we extended onto an unused verandah section, adding 2 meters of space. The new layout features a freestanding bath, large open shower, and double vanity with extensive storage. Traditional elements are maintained with travertine-look tiles, cream and off-white hues, and a Velux skylight, while a substantial shower recess with stone shelves offers additional storage.
