This year, Lux Interiors have been featured in two Houzz design articles. Our team are thrilled to see our custom designs featured on the inspiration site.
1. Picture Perfect: 28 Marvellous Modern Bathrooms
The article features Lux Interiors recent project in Doubleview. Listed third, our project was credited for having curves in all the right places. We created a unique contemporary design that used curves to break up any harsh lines.
This one-bathroom household required the addition of a second bathroom suitable for a young family. This bright, open space bathes in natural light through the large window and inclusion of a velux skylight. The creative, contemporary design of the room displays a curvature throughout the ensuite layout complemented in the fixtures and fittings. The custom designed curved bulkhead creates a unique statement in itself whilst maintaining the spacious feeling and integrity of high raked ceilings.
Following the curvature, the custom nib wall separates the shower and toilet at a 300mm radius corner creating a divider and providing privacy to the toilet from the entrance view. On the shower side a tiled seat finished in a stone top ties into the nib wall and stone finished wall recess. The curved nib wall meets the client’s requirements of requesting an open shower without having glass within the shower area.
A touch of timber to the mirrored cabinet has brought a warmth into the space, breaking up the greys and whites. An inbuilt mirrored cabinet features a mitred timber frame with feature strip lighting. The vanity boasts a large above counter basin, shaker profile drawers and finished with an aris edged profile stone top. Aged brass tapware throughout compliments the contemporary design, matching in with the current home’s interior.

2. 30 Functional Yet Super Stylish Bathrooms from Across The World
The article featured Lux Interiors for our project in Bull Creek. We positioned the basin off-centre to the vanity, capturing the eye and providing plenty of bench space.
This open ensuite design fuses a modern design with traditional elements. Our client wanted to continue their love of traditional ornate design into the room; reflective of their heritage and harmonious to the houses styling.
Central to the room sits a large floating vanity with finger pulls instead of handles for a sleek finish. The custom design of large drawers adds hidden storage for toiletries. On top an ornate, gold basin is the first eye catching fitting you see upon entering the space. A polished edge mirror runs the entire length of the vanity allowing easy visibility. We also included a frameless shower with custom corner shelving made from stone to match the vanity top to complement the modern look of the design.
